Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition 2018-2019

Our English Debate Team members (3B Wong Ying Sin, 3D Nicole Lam and 3D Bridget Ma) has won in round 2 of the Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition 2018-2019 (Division 1, EMI Schools) against Homantin Government Secondary School on the motion that interns should be paid the minimum wage. As our debate team have won the first two rounds, they will proceed to the final round of the competition. Congratulations to the three debaters and we wish them best of luck in the final round.


True Light Alumni Association – Picnic

In order to strengthen the bonding of the alumnae of the four True Light schools, True Light Alumnae Association held “Picnic 2018” to Ngau Tam Mei New Age Organic Farm on 25th November, visiting farms and fishing ponds, and having barbecues. More than 50 people from the four schools participated in the event.


Hong Kong Girl Guides Annual Parade 2018

“Hong Kong Girl Guides Annual Parade 2018” was held on 25th November 2018 (Sun) at Mong Kok Stadium. Our girls took part in Color Parties of this annual event with the theme of “One O Two years of Guiding hand in hand”. 15 girls and their parents attended the ceremony to give support to our team.


NIKE Basketball Activities

The famous Nike sports brand has invited our students to participate in several basketball activities. During the lunch period, the school basketball team had a challenge game with Mr. WONG Lut-yiu, A1 Division player and Mr. Ryan LAU. Mr. Elson HO was the activity host. After that, Mr. Ryan LAU shared his life experience with our students. At last, there was a jersey design workshop organized by Graphic Airlines. Students were absolutely fascinated by these activities.


JPC Mock Trial

Over ten students participated in Junior Police Call’s Mock Trial. At the opening ceremony, they met with alumni working in the police force, who in return came to our school to assist in competitions and promote education of justice and knowledge of law.

AV Team Wild camp

The Audio-Visual Team has been continually providing the best audio and visual quality for our school. To enhance team spirit and to build perseverance and problem-solving capabilities, an outdoor camping was held like never before in True Light history. All students found it exceptionally memorable and beneficial.


Dialogue with Women CEO

Seven S5 students studying Economics and BAFS attended the Women Chief Executive in Hong Kong on its education outreach organized by the Business Faculty of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and participated in a talk with the female CEOs of three banks.

“Gallery of the Exquisitely Sensitive”- KTL 70th Anniversary Joint Section Exhibition

Our school, KTL 70th Anniversary Joint Section Exhibition, which was jointly organized by students from our secondary, primary and kindergarten sections and alumnae, was successfully held in Shatin Town Hall Exhibition Gallery from 16th to 18th November, 2018.

Getting into the gallery exhibiting over 300 pieces of works of different creative media in Visual Arts and Home Economics, visitors could participate in some interactive activities. They could not only learn more about the exhibits throug [......]

S6 Geography field study

On 15 November 2018, the S6 Geography class had an afternoon out to To Tau Wan, Wu Kai Sha to study the coastal environment and to practise data collection skills.
