“Gallery of the Exquisitely Sensitive”- KTL 70th Anniversary Joint Section Exhibition

Our school, KTL 70th Anniversary Joint Section Exhibition, which was jointly organized by students from our secondary, primary and kindergarten sections and alumnae, was successfully held in Shatin Town Hall Exhibition Gallery from 16th to 18th November, 2018.

Cross Country Competition

Congratulations to our school’s Cross Country Team which has participated in the HK and Kowloon Secondary School – Cross Country Division 3 Area 3! They have been awarded the following prizes:

S6 Geography field study

On 15 November 2018, the S6 Geography class had an afternoon out to To Tau Wan, Wu Kai Sha to study the coastal environment and to practise data collection skills.


Joint School English Oral Practice

To better prepare S6 girls for HKDSE, a joint school English oral practice was organized with Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School (CSWCS), in which our girls were given a chance to have oral practice with over 20 boys from CSWCS. It is believed to be a valuable learning experience as students could get valuable feedback from teachers from both schools.

Mathematics-STEM Presentation

Mr YIM Man-shun was invited as one of the guest speakers at the “Seminar on the Latest Development of Different Curricula cum Sharing of Good Practices”, which was organized by the Education Department on November 12, 2018. Mr. Yim shared our school’s experience with over 100 principals, vice-principals, deputy principals, panel chairpersons and other teachers from other schools attending the seminar.

Visit to HKUST for S5 M1 students

All the S5 M1 students visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 8th November, 2018. Activities included an admission talk, a lecture presented by Professor Fong and a campus tour. Students have learned a lot from the activity.

Mathematics Mini Lecture and Demonstration at HKUST

Students from S4B participated in the Mini Lecture and Demonstration organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 3rd November, 2018. It was an invaluable experience for students to attend the lecture in a top university.


KTL 70th Joint Section Exhibition

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of our school, KTL 70th Anniversary Joint Section Exhibition is jointly organized by students from our secondary, primary and kindergarten sections and alumnae in Shatin Town Hall Exhibition Gallery from 16th to 18th November, 2018. Innovative technology Green engineering, New Energy New Generation

This year, ten S5 and S6 students participated in a solar car design and manufacturing programme. Through a series of workshops, students have developed a solid knowledge base and interest in STEM activities, in which their ability to integrate and apply knowledge and skills across disciplines to solve authentic problems has been strengthened. Their creativity, collaboration and problem solving skills have also been enhanced while their potential in innovation has been unleashed.

Children’s Council Project

From April to October this year, the Liberal Studies Department has chosen 5A Lee Sai Ying to participate in the Children’s Council Project jointly organised by Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, Against Child Abuse and Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights. As a Child Councilor, Lee Sai Ying was able to voice out for children in Hong Kong and arouse public awareness on children’s rights.
