Basketball Team Summer Exchange Program to Taipei (July 2017)

This summer our school basketball team went to Taipei and had an exchange programme with that of Taipei Municpal Huai Seng Junior High School. Through friendly matches and training, both teams learnt from each other and developed invaluable friendship.

Graduation Camp and Gospel Camp (June-July 2017)

To enhance the team spirit and get prepared for the new university school life of our sixth former, the Career and Guidance Committe organized a Graduation camp for them at HKFYG Jockey Club Sai Jung Outdoor Training Camp from 19 to 21 June 2017. Through a serious of team-building and experiential learning. The S6 students further unite themselve and create unique bonding and chemtry, making them stick together to face any challenge ahead.

Chinese Department’s new activity updates and award news (early July 2017)

Our Chinese Department was honoured to have a professional sharing with Gertrude Simon Lutheran Evening College in early July in terms of e-learning curriculum planning, teaching strategies and assignment development. We both learn a lot from each other.

Another piece of good news is our students, Sakura Yip, Stella Au and Claudia Lau from 4A, got the 2016-2017 Chinese Students’ Writing Competition “HengYuanXiang Literary Star” in Hong Kong Region. Congratulations!

Grantham Outstanding Student Athlete Awards 2016-2017 (01/07/2017)

Good news again! We would like to congratulate Chan Tsz Ting from 4B on getting one of the Ten Sport Excellence Awards from the Grantham Outstanding Student Athlete Awards 2016-2017 and receiving a HK$5,000 scholarship.

Secondary One “Hang Po” Form Council Inauguration Ceremony (30/06/2017)

To officially welcome the S1 students into our family and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talents in performing arts, we continued our tradition of hosting the Secondary One Form Council Inauguration Ceremony. Winning in a Territory-wide Song and Lyric Writing Competition (19/06/2017)

Congratulation to our students Ng Ching Yi and Leung Ka Wing Victoria from 4B for winning, out of a total of 74 entries, the “Old Song New Words Excellence Award” from “The Star Dream II” of “Be a Superstar—Song Creation and Old song New Words Creation Competition” in June, 2017. The organizer of this competition was The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong. The competition uses “Fearless Handicapped Positive Life” as the theme, promoting positive messages with music.

English Debate Team Clinched the Championship in HKSSDC (Kowloon District, Div. 1) (01/06/2017)

Yesterday was a huge day, blessed by our Lord, during which our English Debate Team (S.4 Team 1—Audrey, Jade and Kris from 4A) won in the Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition (Regional Final, Kowloon District, Division 1). The Last English Speaking Day and Reading Buddies Visit of This School Year (26/05/2017)

To foster our students’ English proficiency, we have been organizing English Speaking Days (ESDs) every Wednesday throughout the year.
