Our English Drama Team participated in the Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2018 and received the following awards:

1. Award for Outstanding Performer – 2D Tang Cheuk Lam
2. Award for Outstanding Performer – 4A Ngan Sze Man Tiffany
3. Award for Outstanding Performer – 5A Yip Tsz Ting Christy
4. Award for Outstanding Cooperation – Kowloon True Light School
5. Award for Commendable Overall Performance – Kowloon True Light School

We would like to congratulate 5A Cheung Hau Man, Audrey, who has been shortlisted as one of the contenders for the Student of the Year Awards (Linguist-English) conferred by the South China Morning Post. The final result will be announced in due time.


A Professional Sharing between Primary and Secondary Sections (06/10/2017)

To strengthen the cooperation and development of both Primary and Secondary Sections, we had invited the panel heads of the main subjects from both schools to have a professional dialogue on 6 Oct 2017. This time the teaching staff members from the Primary Section share what they have been doing to enhance the teaching and learning effectiveness to us and we gain a lot of invaluable insights and ideas from them.

KTLS Drama Team@Ya Wah Drama Night (29/09/2017)

Our school’s English Drama Team joined this year’s Ying Wa Drama Night and performed our own drama brilliantly. Principal also visited the crew, giving them a lot of encouragement and strength. The show was well-received, gaining the recognition and applause from the audience.

“Open Forum: Journalistic Writing—Meet to Write!” (18/09/2017)

On 18 September, 2017, the Kick-off Ceremony of KTLS’s new initiative funded by The Quality Education Fund (QEF), a profile writing project recording stories of successful female leaders in Hong Kong, cum “Open Forum: Journalistic Writing—Meet to Write!” was held in our school hall. In brief, it is a training program for our student journalists, who are aspiring to develop their writing skills to better equip themselves in developing a career in journalism.

Global Tourism Summit@International Debating Competition (16-21/09/2017)

Two form five student debaters, Audrey Cheung and Gladys Tse from 5A, represented Hong Kong National Debating Team to join The Global Tourism Summit Cum International Debating Competition held in Hawaii from 16 to 21 September, 2017. It was invaluable experience to our students as they got the chances to compete with delegations from San Francisco, Hawaii and New Zealand. They were also exposed to the local cultures of Hawaii and shaped into an ambassador of Hong Kong.

True Light Joint-School Summer Tour to England 2017

To strengthen our students’ language skills and broaden their horizons, collaborating with Excel Academy, four True Light Schools organized an English Language Study Tour which went from 26 July to 12 August. A total of 16 Form One to Three students participated in the tour.
