S5 Geography field trip

On 18/4/2019, the S5 Geography class participated in a one-day coastal study on Cheung Chau organized by The Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Center. This field study equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out a field work and helps them better prepare for the fieldwork-based question in HKDSE. They were instructed and guided to collect data including wind speed, wave frequency, beach profile and sediment size in the morning and to analyze data in the afternoon.


Wan Chai Grassroots Industry Cultural Tour

Our school library and the Chinese Language Department jointly organised the “Wan Chai Grassroots Industry Cultural Tour” to enable Secondary 2 students to feel stories about Wan Chai scenery and the literate written by authors, and to understand the relationship between local history, community culture, life experience and literary creation.


Guangzhou True Light Experimental School Exchange Tour

In order to broaden the horizons of students, the National and Social Caring Committee and the Chinese Language Department jointly organized the “”Guangzhou True Light Experimental School Exchange Tour””. Through lesson observation and exchange activities, S1 and S2 girls will learn about the history of True Light, and visit a tea farm, The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and Cantonese Opera Museum to try tea picking, and understand Chinese architecture and opera culture.


“Into the Hong Kong Literary Landscape” Event

The students studying Chinese Literature participated in the activity “Into the Hong Kong Literary Landscape”. Accompanied by an author, Mr Leung Wai-lok (可洛), students walked through the Chinese University of Hong Kong while reading, observing, sketching and writing, thereby enhancing their interest and ability to create.


Star of Literature in National Secondary Schools Writing Competition

Because of her work ‘書法尋緣’, WANG Chunyi was awarded Star of Literature in National Secondary Schools Writing Competition and she will represent Hong Kong to the national final held in Zheng Zhou and compete with winners from different cities in the mainland.


Guzheng Ensemble Performing in C.C.C. Joint School Music Performance

In order to raise students’ interest and understanding of the arts, and to provide students with more opportunities to perform, our school’s Guzheng Ensemble performed in C.C.C. Joint School Music Performance.

Ocean Park Sustainability X Design Thinking Camp

S4B Mok Yeuk Kan, Esther and S4C Pong Yui Chi joined the Ocean Park Sustainability X Design Thinking Camp. During the training, they learned about the design thinking skills and knowledge about social innovation, corporate social value and responsibility. Their camp was ended with a presentation to the senior administrators of Ocean Park about the actionable improvement plan for Ocean Park.


Visit FaceBook HK office and attend a sharing session

Ten S4 ICT students joined a sharing session co-organised by HKFYG an Facebook HK about how to spread love to the society through technology. Students have learned from various speakers from Facebook HK, One Youth World and HKFYG. They also have a great chance to visit Facebook office.


Grade C won the Third Prize in Inter-School Basketball Competition

Our school basketball team fought against Fujian Secondary School in the first round of competitions in the Inter-School Basketball Competition. After fierce competition, we finally won the third place in Group C.

Li Po Chun Model United Nations (LPCMUN) 2019

16 students from Form 3 and 4 joined Li Po Chun Model United Nations (LPCMUN) conference on 30-31 March 2019. It was a student-led forum for stimulation and meaningful discussion that students coming from different schools and across the world held debates on global issues, ranging from the recent Venezuelan Crisis, China’s Xinjiang policy towards the Uighur Muslim Minority, Korean War in historical context and combating greenhouse gas emissions worldwide in response to the climate change over t [......]
