Mindcrafting Initiative: English Debate Explorer

English debate is not only an extracurricular activity but also an excellent opportunity for students to develop their language skills as well as their confidence and presentation skills. To promote the benefits of debating, our English department has organized an English debate workshop and a debate demonstration in our school on 13 October 2018. Jockey Club – UNESCO Hong Kong “Global Citizenship Education” Project

The project aims at instilling in students an understanding of the importance of slowing down climate change through script-writing and theatre performances. Prior to performances, a series of knowledge input about climate change is provided. Here are some highlights of the first visit e.g. learning about the impacts brought by global warming.


Teen Time @ RTHK

Three S5 girls were invited to take part in a recording session of “Teen Time”, an English program of RTHK 3. They talked about how they felt about all those apps catching on among teens in recent years. The show is scheduled for 20 November from 9pm to 10pm. Make sure you tune-in!

S4 Learning Camp

With higher complexity and a wider scope in senior secondary, LTC and SAC collaborated and organized S4 Learning Camp where all S4 students learnt about their own learning styles and some self directed learning strategies through various games and reflection activities. They also set goals for the coming year.


Cantonese Opera Fun Day

The Guzheng Ensemble of our school gave outstanding performances in the event organized by the Kowloon City District Office of the Home Affairs Department.


Visit by Kanarasdornbumroong Changwat Yala School

A group of teachers and students from Kanarasdornbumroong Changwat Yala School, Thailand, visited our school with the aim of having better understanding of the innovative teaching methods of our Maths and Science Departments. Besides joining a school tour, they were introduced to the solar vehicle and some Micro:bit products designed and manufactured by our students. 100th anniversary of the Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China, all the teaching staff and members of student fellowship of our school attended the holy communion thanksgiving worship held at Asia-World Expo. Together with the choirs of other schools, our school choir sang hymns to praise God in the worship.


Sharing by our school manager, Mr. TO Yiu-kwan, in Living with Wisdom Seminar

Mr. TO Yiu-kwan, our school manager and a doctor in Biology in the University of Hong Kong, was appointed the principal of True Light Girls’ College from 1998 to 2008. Mr. To has been active in advocating biology education in Hong Kong and made tremendous contribution in the field. The textbooks edited by Mr. To are still popular among students. CCC Education Service

Secondary and Primary teachers and S1 students joined the CCC Education Service. Kowloon True Light School Worship Team – The Traveller leaded the whole congregation to worship. The sermon reminds us the importance of education based on Christian principles.


Visit by Hangzhou Baochuta Experimental School

A group of 30 teachers and students from Hangzhou Baochuta Experiemental School visited our school on 2nd October, 2018. Students and teachers of both schools had wonderful time exchanging experience through school tours and lesson observation. It is hoped that they have better understanding of our school and the education system in Hong Kong.
