Form Councils
Form Councils is a True Light tradition, where “Council” represents the whole form. The “Form Council” structure was established in 1919. Students form the Form Councils in their S1, deciding on the name and the colour of the Council, which will be in effect until graduation. The Council colours are selected from blue, red and green and the colours are re-used every three years. Forms sharing the same council colour are called Sister Councils. Hence, S1 and S4 are Sister Councils, and so are S2 and S5, S3 and S6. Form Councils look after each other while they are still in school, and it serves as a network among students after graduation. Students are able to keep close contact with each other regardless of their geographic locations and career.
Most of the Form Councils are named under the following principles:
Blue-white series: Named with characters headed by “艹”
Red-white series: Named with characters sided with “日”
Green-white series: Named with one single character
