Unearthing potential through multiple methods
Multiple Intelligence Courses (MI courses)
In order to provide students with all-round development, our school provides a systematic, balanced, multi-faceted comprehensive learning activity framework. In this way, students can cultivate a variety of learning abilities in a pleasant environment.
MI courses are arranged on seven Mondays in each of the first and second terms during the ninth period in the normal school schedule. The course is held on a compulsory basis for S1 to S5 students, providing about 23 diversified learning groups, including language courses, social services and interests groups. These self-selected activities allow students to explore their potential and pursue their dreams. Simultaneously, they can build up a proactive learning attitude, raise their confidence and cultivate their self-learning abilities. In accordance with the individual potential of students, we believe they can undergo comprehensive development in the six aspects of life, namely moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic, and educational.

Featured extracurricular activities
In order to enrich students’ experience, on top of those regular extra-curricular activities, our school organises various featured extra-curricular activities every year. This year, some new courses such as Kpop Dance, Yoga, Rope Skipping, Newly Emerging Sports, Badminton, Aerial Photography, Campus TV and Latte Art have been organized. In future, more extracurricular activities will be explored to coordinate with the needs of students so as to highlight their potential.
Elevating skills through specialised training
Our school provides long-term specialised training for selected gifted students in different school teams. Throughout the process of training, professional skills will be further elevated. In various performances and competitions, our students have obtained fantastic achievements and numerous awards.
In the aspect of Performing Arts, Chinese and Western cultures, including both traditional and modern elements, are exhibited in our music teams such as choir, orchestra, guzheng, guitar ensemble, pop orchestra and musical instrument classes as well as dance teams like Chinese dance, jazz dance and pop dance. In addition, our English Drama Team participates in joint-school drama performances and English Drama Festival every year.
In the area of sports, we have our Basketball Team, Volleyball Team, Softball team, Archery Team, Athletics Team, Cross-Country Team and Swimming Team. Within all these teams, our school Basketball Team has boosted its results to Division One. Besides, both the Cross-Country Team and the Swimming Team have won the overall championships in Division Three this year.
In the field of oral talents, our school has organised some foreign language public examinations classes, including French and Japanese classes. Within these two courses, a student of the French won in a writing contest organized by the Consulate General of France. She went on an immersion programme in France as an award. In addition to the numerous award-winning Chinese Debate and English Debate Teams, our school Moot Court Team can not only improve students’ oral expression skills, but also train them to think independently and evaluate thoroughly on the concept of justice
Showing talents and boosting confidence
Our school provides various performances and competitions so that students can have the opportunity to showcase their talents. Among them, the annual grand event is our S1 Form Council English Musical, in which classic titles are used as the theme, complementing the “Page to Stage” curriculum of English Language. In recent years, Shakespeare’s masterpiece “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” and Alan Jay Lerner’s work “Camelot” were selected. ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, written by Charles Dickens, was the title of the S1 Musical in 2020.
Every year, ECA Variety Show as well as performances during our School Anniversary are held. Various ECA groups also participate in performances outside our school community. For example, our school zheng group and a cappella chorus team exhibited their talents by performing a splendid show at the Kowloon Hospital.
In order to show our recognition to those students who have performed exceptionally well in the fields of music, sports, dance, visual arts or performing arts, a “Star Student Award” scholarship has been established.
In addition, there are alumni donation scholarships including the “Excellent Performance in School Choir Award” and “Excellent Performance in S1 Musical Award” which are presented especially to students with musical talents. Moreover, there is also a scholarship award for the outstanding athlete who represents either Hong Kong or our school in sports competitions and has also obtained the most awards in events. We believe all these scholarships can allow more students with different talents to gain recognition and affirmation of their talents. In this way, students will continue to strive for excellence in their fields of expertise and further enhance their passion in different areas.
