Our school has recently formed a collaborative iGEM Joint-School Team with four other biotech-leading schools in Hong Kong. Our esteemed partners include Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School, Carmel Pak U Secondary School, TWGHs Mrs. Wu York Yu Memorial College, and Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College. The primary objective of this alliance is to participate in the International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition of 2023.

To ensure our students are well-equipped with the necessary theoretical knowledge and laboratory skills, we conducted a preparation workshop for the iGEM teams from all five schools on 23 February. During the workshop, teachers and students introduced themselves, shared their experiences in biotechnology and fostered mutual learning. We look forward to more professional exchanges and valuable collaborations between the teachers and students of all participating schools in the near future.
