Citizenship and Social Development Mainland Study Tour
From 28 to 31 October, our school’s Form 5 students joined the first Citizenship and Social Development Mainland Study Tour organized by the Education Bureau. During the four-day study tour to Jiangxi, students visited the Dongjiang River Source at Sanbaishan, learning about the history of Dongjiang water supply to Hong Kong and the close ties between the two regions. They also explored the Red Army Departure Memorial Hall and attended the stage performance – The First Crossing of the Long March, gaining insights into the Long March and revolutionary history, fostering their national identity and awareness of national security.
A significant highlight of the tour was establishing a sister school relationship with Ganzhou High School, where students engaged in cultural exchange, gaining a deeper understanding of the local education system and student life. Additionally, through visits to the Gree Intelligent Manufacturing Base, Dongfang Yuxiao Red Theme Park, Guanxiwei, and the World Hakka Folk Culture City, students explored how innovation and technology drive sustainable business and national development while experiencing Hakka intangible cultural heritage and conservation efforts.
