To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War, and to uphold the patriotic spirit, a microfilm competition took place and over a hundred schools submitted entries. S4 Lau Yuen Ching, Wang Sze Yui Hannah, Law Tsz Ki, and Mak Wai Kay visited wartime historical sites and produced a microfilm titled “The Forgotten Peninsula Hotel” focusing on the Battle of Hong Kong. Their production has won the Champion, leading to an interview and follow-up filming by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). After the award ceremony, students also watched the war film “The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru,” which prompted reflections on war, humanity, and peace.
