Citizenship and Social Development Study Tour
To provide students with a comprehensive and accurate understanding of our country, the Citizenship and Social Development Department organised a study tour for senior secondary students in Hong Kong, hosted by the Education Bureau from 28 to 30 November. During this three-day tour, which focused on Shaoguan’s Danxia culture and sustainable development, students visited Danxia Mountain, participated in ecological field studies, and learned about the mountain’s geological formations, plant life, insect ecology, and biodiversity. They also toured the Northern Guangdong Memorial Museum of the Red Army Long March to explore modern revolutionary history and figures, cultivate patriotic sentiments, and enhance their awareness of national security.
As part of the study tour, our school also visited Shaozhou Middle School. Through interactions with local students, participants gained valuable insights into the learning environments and lifestyles of students in the area. Subsequently, they toured landmarks such as the Shaozhou Confucian Temple, Bainian Dongjie, and Fengcai Building, where they learned about local traditional culture as well as efforts in cultural conservation and revitalisation.
