The Hong Kong Subsidised Secondary Schools Council (HKSSSC) undertook its Principals’ Education Tour to Germany and Austria from 3 to 10 January. Hosted by the Austrian-Chinese Profound Arts Festival (ACPAF), the programme offered participating school leaders, including Principal Lee, meaningful insights into European education, leadership practices, and cultural contexts.

The itinerary included visits to prestigious institutions such as the Technical University of Munich, Mozarteum University Salzburg, and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. These university visits enhanced participants’ understanding of the local education systems, academic structures, and pathways relevant to Hong Kong students.

A key highlight was the unique opportunity to visit the Chinese Embassy in Austria. This rare experience allowed delegates to engage with embassy representatives, deepening their understanding of Austria-China educational relations and fostering international collaboration.

The tour also featured a Love-Based Leadership workshop facilitated by the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS), which explored themes of inner stillness, compassionate and courageous communication, and a coaching mindset. Through intercultural dialogue and professional exchange, the programme strengthened global perspectives and fostered enduring educational partnerships.
