Second Runner-up in Chinese Traditional Costume Innovation Design Competition
On 29 December, the Chinese Traditional Costume Innovation Design Competition, organised by the Macau Choi Educational and Cultural Foundation, took place in Macau. The competition received a total of 232 design submissions from 116 teams across the Greater Bay Area, with 22 works ultimately making it to the finals. Students from our school performed exceptionally well and secured the Second Runner-up position in the competition.
The first team comprised S5 Fok Tin Lam Tina, Yeung Ho Ying, and Leung Nok Yan, who chose “Heritage: The Past” and “Heritage: The Present” as their themes. Through various forms of expression, they explored the significance of cultural inheritance in both historical and modern contexts, providing an in-depth analysis of cultural continuity and transformation.
Another group included S4 Lau Pui Lam, Yang Tsz Lui, and Liang Cheuk Yan, whose themes were “Nuo Dance” and “Epidemic Stories.” Their works paid tribute to traditional arts while reflecting the challenges and responses shaped by contemporary societal contexts.
Special thanks to Ms. Wong Yuet Fung for her dedicated guidance. The impressive performances by these two groups not only showcased their learning achievements but also allowed the audience to experience the enchanting fusion of tradition and modernity, fostering a deeper contemplation of cultural heritage.
