Wellness Week
Wellness Week at our school was not simply a series of events, but a meaningful journey that encouraged students to pause, breathe, and appreciate life’s simple joys. With the theme “Embrace Peace Within, Find Joy Along the Way”, the week aimed to cultivate calmness, gratitude, and connection among the school community.
Students engaged in a wide range of activities designed to nurture both mind and heart. Arts projects, including mosaic designs and cream glue crafts, provided a calming yet expressive outlet. Our “Candy Corner” and refreshing fruit punch station added sweetness and energy to the atmosphere, while gratitude bottles and hand-made friendship cards reminded everyone of the importance of kindness and appreciation.
A highlight of the week was the inspirational talk by Mr Arnold Leung, a social worker specialising in palliative care and life-and-death education. His sharing on dealing with losses in life offered wisdom and strength, helping students to face difficult emotions with resilience and compassion.
The school campus was also alive with music during lunchtime busking sessions, where students showcased their talents and uplifted their peers. Meanwhile, the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong provided a quiet relaxation room, inviting students to unwind, listen to soothing music, and enjoy the comfort of warm eye masks.
Through these experiences, students not only found joy in small moments but also learnt the value of inner peace. Wellness Week reminded us that caring for ourselves and each other is a journey worth celebrating every day.
