S3 Literary Talk
To further elevate our students’ reading literacy and cultivate a deep appreciation for contemporary literature, the Reading Promotion Committee was honoured to welcome Dr Chan Chi Kian, Edward, Principal of CNEC Christian College, to our campus. Dr Chan delivered an engaging and profound guest lecture, sharing his literary insights and passion for writing with our S3 students.
In a wonderful gesture of academic fellowship, Principal Dr Chan generously presented a signed copy of his acclaimed work, “The Disorder of Memory”, to our Principal as a commemorative gift. Furthermore, he graciously donated signed copies of both “The Disorder of Memory” and “6 Lei Pui Street: From Urban Variations to the Non-existent City” to the school library, leaving our students with two beautifully poignant inscriptions:
“If memory falls into disorder, let it remain eternal.”
“As time wrinkles away, the faces of old friends reappear one by one.”
This meaningful exchange has not only greatly enriched our library collection but has also profoundly inspired our students to explore the depths of literary creation and cultural memory.
