Since April, a group of students from the KTL Academy for Gifted Students had paired up with students from one of our overseas partner schools Kyoto Prefectural Yamashiro Senior High School with an aim to collaborate on theme-based studies. On 15 July, they went online and each Hong Kong-Kyoto group made a presentation based on their studies. They talked about the education system, the food culture and the pollution problem in each place and focused on the differences of their cities. The meeting, which was conducted in English and Japanese, was a wonderful learning experience despite the outbreak of COVID-19 and the school suspension. They also sent one another care and support through the platform.
