Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme
Organized by the Tourism Commission of the HKSAR and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme aims to nurture young people to be Young Ambassadors through distinctive voluntary services which aspire to promote a sense of courtesy and helpfulness to visitors and foster a culture of hospitality, cultivate a mindset that embraces service excellence, and enhance the sense of belonging to and understanding of the diverse culture of Hong Kong. Wong Ying Sin (S5) was appointed as one of the 2020-2021 Young Ambassadors in the school and engaged in distinctive voluntary services, including the Xiqu Centre Guided Tour, “Next Station, Fanling” Weekend Markets and “Restpiration – The Feast.” There were also workshops and sharing sessions by professional trainers, as well as visits to attractions featuring interests such as history and heritage, leisure, culture and art, environmental conservation, as well as corporations with customer service excellent practices. The scheme broadened students’ horizons, encouraged creativity and commitment, and developed students’ networking and leadership skills.
