English Language Festival: Women in Literature
15-19 November was the week of English Language Festival, the theme of which was Women in Literature. An array of activities was arranged for students, including booths, morning sharing, a book exhibition and a seminar by Uncle Stanley Wong. Mr. Wong, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Comparative Literature from the University Hong Kong and won Croucher Shakespeare Prize and Bank of America English Literature Research scholarship, introduced to us female character development in classical works that our school’s Literary Module covered. English Society, the National and Social Caring Committee and S5 students collaborated and installed booths for students to learn more about female characters, female authors and other essential literature elements in a festive atmosphere.
