Co-organised by Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) and Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble (HKGDE), a concert and cultural lecture event “A Dialogue between Dunhuang and Palace Museum: Beyond the Bounds of History” was held on 21 June. The event kicked off with “Thank you for your time”, an original overture composed and performed by HKGDE. The musical performance was followed by a panel discussion, which delved into the captivating stories underpinning the cultural heritage of Dunhuang and the Palace Museum. It was moderated by Professor Lee Chack-fan, featuring Dr. Wang Xudong, Director of the Palace Museum, Dr. Zhao Shengliang, Secretary of the Party Committee at the Dunhuang Research Academy, and Dr. Louis Ng, HKPM Museum Director. Ms. Cheung Man, Ms. Chien Ching Loi, Ms. Chan Ting Ying, Ms. Cheung Tsz Ching and Ms. Fung Wing Sze were invited to attend and benefited a lot from this great event.
