Our school participated in the “S.H.I.E.L.D.S” leadership training program organized by the University of Hong Kong. Eight student leaders were chosen to join the program. After the training, they organized a host of events, including initiating a team called “Heart to Breathe”, setting up an Instagram account, “ktls.shields,” where they publish information on how to manage emotions and stress and answer questions from students, convening a craft workshop after school, and hosting a school assembly on 26 September to shed light upon the importance and skills of caring for others through a drama performance. At the end of the three-month training program, the University held a graduation ceremony where students presented their learning outcomes. The “S.H.I.E.L.D.S” ambassadors expressed that they will continue to endeavor to create a caring atmosphere among the students.
