On 4 December, our students participated in the Standard Chartered Arts Carnival 2022 at the West Kowloon Cultural District Arts Park. This year, the theme of the Standard Chartered Arts in the Park carnival is based on the classic Victorian novels by the famous British novelist and playwright Charles Dickens. Through creative arts, the characters, plot and key elements of the Victorian novels were masterfully presented on the giant puppets and parade costumes. Under the guidance of artist Candice Keung Lap Yu, our students created a colorful boat with a stormy wave inspired by the play “David Copperfield”. Students and visitors had a chance to travel back to the 19th century for a festive “Dickensian Christmas”.
