Global Week 2022
The theme of this year’s Global Week is “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” During the course of 5 December to 9 December, we invited alumna Ms. Hou Yui Ping (Pink), a makeup artist who returned from her studies in Korea, and Ms. Chan Yuk Tung, a senior volunteer of Big Tree as well as an artist manager, to share their experiences with the students.
The 4th Joint School Youth Forum on “the most effective way to maintain cultural security in Hong Kong today” was held. Mr. Chan Wai Wai, JP, Director of the Information Services Department, Dr. Ho Kin Chung, Founder and Chairman of OCTS Youth Forum, and Ms. Mok Yee Man, Founder of Community Partner Foundation Limited, were invited to adjudicate the forum. We were delighted to invite students from Munsang College, Carmel Divine Grace Foundation Secondary School and SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School to this annual event. All students spoke eloquently and expressed their ideas logically.
In addition, there were games and exhibition booths throughout the Week. Teachers were invited to share their valuable souvenirs collected during their past trips to enhance students’ intercultural knowledge. Also, there was a Chinese costume experience booth for students to learn more about Chinese culture and to keep the motherland in mind and the whole world in view. The National and Social Caring Committee collaborated with Feeding Hong Kong to hold a food drive, to which the students responded enthusiastically.
