敢獅敢創 Social Enterprise Proposal Competition
We are thrilled to announce the impressive victory of our students in the “敢獅敢創” social enterprise proposal competition, hosted by the prestigious Lions Clubs District 303 in Hong Kong and Macao, China. On 16 April, a team of four talented S4 girls emerged as champions for their outstanding business proposal, “Si1 Fo2” (師伙). This remarkable plan aims to address the issue of educational inequality in Hong Kong by creating a sustainable online platform that benefits underprivileged students.
The business model behind “Si1 Fo2” (師伙) rests on the fundamental belief that students from all socio-economic backgrounds should have equal access to quality education. The platform offers explanatory videos created by teacher volunteers, which can be accessed via paid accounts by economically-capable students. Moreover, the platform allows paid users to send “fire” to needy students, which allows them to watch the videos for free. This innovative and socially conscious plan is a testament to the ingenuity and compassion of our students, who have demonstrated that they possess the vision and drive to create meaningful change in their community.
