Visiting Mei Ho House
On 20 April, students from S.2 to S.4 were granted a remarkable opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong through a guided tour of Mei Ho House, organized by our Citizenship and Social Development and Chinese Departments. The tour offered students an enlightening experience, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the living conditions that residents of Hong Kong endured during the 1950s and 1970s, the captivating history of the only remaining H-shaped resettlement building, and the evolution of public housing in Hong Kong.
Moreover, the tour emphasized the importance of cultural conservation and revitalization in preserving Hong Kong’s unique cultural identity. The students actively engaged with the docents, showcasing their curiosity and appreciation for Hong Kong’s rich cultural heritage.
