On 11 September, the Information and Communication Technology Department led Form 4 and Form 5 students to visit Oracle (Hong Kong) Company to attend a seminar on “Web 3.0 and the Future of the Internet.” The seminar aimed to educate students about the concepts of future technologies in the third generation of the internet, including cryptocurrency, decentralization, and the metaverse. Through this event, students were able to gain a concrete understanding of the development of financial technology and the next generation of internet technologies such as cloud computing, blockchain, big data, and online payments. This enhanced their knowledge of the future of technology, allowing them to step into the world of future technology and improve their information technology literacy.
