Our school’s Citizenship and Social Development Department and Discipline and Guidance Committee participated in the ‘Hong Kong Model Legislative Council 2023’ organized by the Hong Kong Association for Youth Leaders Development. Through a series of workshops, leadership training camps, visits to the Legislative Council, exchanges with Legislative Council members, and Model Legislative Council sessions, students gained a proper understanding of Hong Kong’s legislative system and the operations of the Legislative Council under the framework of the national constitution and the Hong Kong Basic Law. They engaged in discussions on various motions with students from sister schools. The closing ceremony was held on 5 February, where S5 student Lam Cho Man received the “Outstanding Legislator” award.
