Visit to the Snow Dragon 2
On 11April, the Physics Department led 30 Form 3 students on a visit to the domestically built Antarctic research icebreaker Xuelong 2, (or Snow Dragon 2). Through first-hand experience of the ship’s advanced instruments and facilities, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of marine survey research and acquire valuable knowledge about polar conservation and climate change. This visit has sparked enthusiasm and interest among the students to engage in future polar research and scientific work.
