Walking into Hong Kong’s Literary Scenery
On 13 April, The Chinese Literature Department organized an activity called “Walking into Hong Kong’s Literary Scenery” to integrate reading, writing and life. They invited writer Mr. Leung Wai Lok to lead the students to visit Quarry Bay and Fortress Hill to explore the footsteps of literary figures such as Jinyong, Eileen Chang and Ni Kuang. The students also visited the Sunbeam Theatre, Sam Kee’s Bookstore, Chun Yeung Street and North Point Ferry Pier to conduct a field trip. At the end of the program, students turned their personal experiences into words and wrote down what they had experienced and what they thought. The program helped students to deepen their understanding of Hong Kong literature and enhance their interest and ability in writing.
