To help students understand and cultivate information literacy and positive values, the Citizenship and Social Development Department shepherded S5 students to the Hong Kong News Museum on 3 July. Through explanations by experienced media professionals, students learned about the development of the news industry in Hong Kong, the professionalism and ethics of news practitioners, and the importance of distinguishing between true and false news. Additionally, students participated in various news production experience activities, including trying live reporting, which they found enjoyable.
