Global Week
This academic year’s Global Week, themed “Cultural Kaleidoscope: Colours of the World,” aimed to take students on a journey of multicultural exploration that transcends borders.
The event kicked off with a school assembly themed “Uniting Cultures, Embracing Differences.” We were honoured to invite Mr. Davis Wong, a Hong Kong-born Pakistani, as our guest speaker. Having previously worked in Fortune 500 companies and served as an RTHK host, he vividly shared the traditional customs, festivals, and culinary delights of ethnic minorities, alongside his own life experiences in Hong Kong. His sharing greatly deepened our students’ understanding of social inclusion.
Over the following days, eight themed booth games were featured. From the “Mystery of the Leaning Tower” and “Pharaoh’s Chamber” to the “Local Flavors” snack booth personally introduced by our non-Chinese speaking students, the activities allowed participants to feel as if they were traveling around the globe. Furthermore, the “Overseas Study Information Station” provided detailed answers to students’ questions regarding international curricula such as IB and A-Level, helping them map out their future educational paths.
