To promote reading and writing and to cultivate students’ ability to “write through reading,” the Reading Promotion Committee actively organised various reading and creative classes. Recently, the Reading Promotion Committee was honored to invite renowned writer Ms. Wong Yi to lead the “From Literature to Creation” workshop. Ms. Wong has extensive experience; she hosts RTHK’s “Open Book” and has won the 2018 Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist in the Literary Arts category. She was also selected as one of the 20 most anticipated Chinese-language novelists of the younger generation by Taiwan’s “United Literature” and participated in the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa in 2023.

The workshop consisted of two sessions, each 1.5 hours long. The first session successfully took place on 6 May, in the library, and the second session concluded on 13 May. Under Ms. Wong’s guidance, the students gained a great deal.
