Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and co-organised by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and BrainCo Technology International, the “Intergenerational Bridge · Tech Buddy” Innovative Design Competition encourages students to leverage their service-learning experiences to design practical, user-centric tech solutions from the perspective of senior citizens. Our students shone brightly, securing top honours in both senior and junior divisions!

Senior Division – “Best Concept Award” (Project: Elderice) Designed to cater to elderly needs, Elderice captured the judges’ highest acclaim. The four winning team members have been awarded free AI courses at the Hong Kong Science Park and will collaborate with a tech startup to fully develop the Elderice App. Following their win, the team was also interviewed by the media to share their inspiring journey.

Junior Division – “Intergenerational Harmony Award” (Project: Silver Fortune) Our junior team earned high praise for their creative pension investment game, Silver Fortune, which fosters empathy, financial literacy, and meaningful connections across generations.

These achievements not only showcase our students’ mastery of information technology and Artificial Intelligence, but also reflect their deep commitment to humanistic care, equipping them to become innovative, compassionate leaders ready to give back to society and the nation!
