China Merchants Huaxia Exposition Study Tour
During the summer break, five of our students were honoured to participate in the seventeenth to nineteenth cohorts of China Merchants Group’s Huaxia Exposition Study Tour. Travelling across Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, our students gained a profound understanding and appreciation of national development, ecological conservation, and cultural diversity.
Beginning their trek in Inner Mongolia and moving through to Heilongjiang, the students surveyed diverse natural landscapes from deserts and grasslands to wetlands and forests. A highlight of the journey was riding horses across the vast Hulunbuir Grassland before reaching Mohe, China’s northernmost city. They also visited Manzhouli and Harbin, immersing themselves in their unique Far Eastern heritage while exploring the landscapes and local customs of Western China along the Tianshan Mountains.
Organised by China Merchants Group (CMPG) and the CMPG Youth Federation, the flagship study tour series are designed for Hong Kong secondary school teachers and students. Through immersive city walks, field investigations, and cultural exchanges, the program enables local youth to explore China’s rich history, modern industrial growth, and achievements, fostering a stronger sense of national identity and cultural pride.
