The Silver Human Library & Gingko House Snowflake Crisps Workshop
In celebration of True Light’s 155th Anniversary, the National and Social Caring Committee launched the year-long “Project Silver” caring initiative, extending elderly awareness from inside the classroom out into the wider community. From inviting silver speakers in September to share their inspiring life stories and foster intergenerational empathy, to collaborating with Gingko House where elderly artisans taught students how to handcraft Mid-Autumn snowflake crisps while sharing life wisdom, our students have experienced the beauty of intergenerational connection firsthand.
Moving forward, such perspectives will be progressively integrated across various academic disciplines, nurturing empathy, civic responsibility, and the enduring True Light spirit of community care.
