The fourth meeting of Parents’ Academy
The Parents’ Academy held its fourth meeting on 18 February, with the objective of enhancing parents’ communication skills with their children, promoting a holistic approach to education, and exposing parents to Christian gospels. Organized by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), this initiative aimed to support parents physically, mentally, and spiritually, fostering a supportive community committed to children’s well-being.
Ms. Chau Ha Lam, the esteemed speaker of the event, delivered a thought-provoking talk on “Connecting Parents with Children: Experiencing Children’s Pain and Discovering their Frustration.” This relevant and insightful topic emphasized the importance of understanding children’s perspectives, empathizing with their pain and frustration, and building stronger relationships between parents and children. The meeting was successful in equipping parents with essential parenting skills, providing a valuable opportunity for parents, teachers, and the speaker to engage in fruitful dialogue and strengthen home-school cooperation.
