The English Debating Team showcased their skills and expertise at the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition 2023-2024. The team, S4 Ahmad Alima, Maaika-rani, and Li Tsz Ching, won the championship of the competition.

The team engaged in thought-provoking debates on motion topics that sparked considerable interest. The motions presented were “This house believes that South Korea should exempt top K-Pop stars from mandatory military service” and “In times of economic crisis, this house would abolish the minimum wage”. In the finals, students demonstrated eloquent delivery and critical analysis on the motion “This house regrets the rise of cancel culture”.
