Oxford Model United Nations Conference 2024
From 22 to 24 November, as part of our Model United Nations activities, our student representative from Form 5 was nominated to attend the Oxford Model United Nations Conference 2024 at The University of Oxford. During the three-day conference, she had the valuable opportunity to delve into the topic of the integration of the ecological knowledge of indigenous peoples in a simulation of the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2025 (COP30), representing the delegation of Pakistan. She fiercely advocated for her ideas with fervor and engaged in discussions with diplomacy, demonstrating leadership in a committee with 100 delegates representing over 80 nationalities. The journey was transformative and educational, offering in-depth insights about sustainable development and climate change. In addition to the conference, our representative had the chance to visit landmarks at Oxford such as the Examination Schools of the University of Oxford, the Ashmolean Museum and the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.
