The English Debating Team showcased their skills and expertise at the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition 2025-2026. The team, consisting of S4 Fung Ka Sin, Leung Mei Sze, and Wong Yuen Lam, won First Runner-up in the Enhanced Format category of the Term 1 competition. The Enhanced Format is designed to help students prepare for higher-level debating with Points of Information (POIs).

The team engaged in thought-provoking debates on motion topics that sparked considerable interest. The motions presented were “This house believes that the popularity of gym culture brings more harm than good” and “This house regrets the glorification of humility as a virtue.” In the finals, students demonstrated eloquent delivery and critical analysis on the motion “This house welcomes the rise of AI ‘grief bots.”
