Congratulations to our S4 English Debate Team (4A WONG Grace Dionee, 4A CHAN Kwan-sheung Gabbie and 4A CHING Lok-chee) on winning the Championship in the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition organised by the Department of Asian and International Studies of City University of Hong Kong. The motion of the debate was that the dams currently planned for the Mekong River will help bring prosperity to those living along the River. The motion was intended to be on a topic outside the context of Hong Kong to encourage secondary students to conduct extensive research on an international issue and prepare arguments like a university student. The S4 debaters performed brilliantly and earned the final victory.
