Liberal Studies Activities and Mr Ng’s Sharing at EDB
In order to enhance the understanding of the community of Hong Kong among teenagers, our Liberal Studies Department has participated in the “Humanities & Real Estate Landscapes – Hong Kong – Taiwan Youth Interactive Community Building Experiential Programme organized by Caritas Youth and Community Service, undergoing community discovery and making community maps. With their outstanding performance, two of our students, 5B Chan Lian and Tse Ka Yu, have been offered the opportunity to join the “Community Building” field trip to Taiwan and have exchanges with the teenagers there.
Also, with an aim to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity and vibrancy in building business, our Liberal Studies, Economics & BAFS departments worked together to help two teams of S5 students to participate in the Wofoo Millennium Entrepreneurship Programme (MEP XVIII) organized by Wofoo Millennium Entrepreneurship Programme Secretariat. After half-year’s preparation, our teams were finally awarded the Second Runner-up and a merit respectively. Congratulations to all the students!
Above all, on 30th April, 2018, Mr. NG King Fai, panel head of the Liberal Studies Department, was invited by the School-based Curriculum Development (Secondary) Section of the Education Bureau to share on the topic “Peer Cooperation & Assessment, Promoting Class Interaction” at its annual sharing.
